Indoor Air Quality (Sick Building Syndrome)
Office occupants regularly experience discomfort due to symptoms such as headaches, dry throat or sore eyes. But there are occasions when, for no obvious reasons, people working in particular buildings experience these sorts of symptoms more often than is usual. The symptoms tend to increase in severity with time spent in the building and improve over time or disappear away from the building. This is often described as Sick Building Syndrome (SBS).
The causes of SBS can often be attributed to one or more sources and a comprehensive investigation incorporating a range of parameters is often required to evaluate the cause, starting with a detailed personnel questionnaire. Ethos Environmental specialise in undertaking these investigations to narrow down potential sources so that a remediation plan can be determined.
