Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) Testing
Local exhaust ventilation systems are used to reduce exposure to hazardous substances by carrying the contamination away from the breathing zone of the operator.
However, on occasion, systems can be poorly designed which although is effective at preventing a build-up of the contaminant, the contaminant passes the breathing zone of the operator prior to being extracted.
Our Occupational Hygienists provide advice on the design, positioning and testing the existing effectiveness of LEV systems. We also routinely carry out the mandatory 14-month inspection and testing of the LEV systems in compliance with the COSHH regulations.
