How does occupational hygiene work?
Our occupational hygiene service ensures your workplace is as safe as possible by identifying workplace health hazards and providing advice on how to prevent serious illnesses such as:

- Asthma and other respiratory illnesses

Identifying hazards
Exposure to hazards can come from many different sources in the work environment, so our assessments include:
- Water services integrity: Water quality analysis, Legionella Risk Assessments, and control plans for hot and cold potable Water Management Systems.
- Noise Exposure Assessment: Personal noise exposure assessment in the workplace, including measurements of environmental and nuisance noise, and noise exposure reduction schemes
- Local exhaust ventilation: Inspection, examination, and testing of local exhaust ventilation systems to ensure that they operate effectively
- Health risk assessment and compliance audit: Inspecting the workplace and observing all work tasks and activities
- Hand and whole-body vibration: Measurement and assessment of exposure to hand, arm, and whole-body vibrations
- Exposure monitoring and assessment: measurement of dusts, gases, and vapours in the workplace, advising robust elimination and risk control management

You can schedule on-site visits as needed, or get continuous support with our 30-day support agreement. This provides direct access to our specialists by phone, video, or in-person – even outside of regular office hours.
